1.FUE technique

The FUE technique consists of extracting follicular units from the donor area, one by one. The great advance of this technique is that it hardly leaves a visible scar.

Dr. Lourdes Linzoain participates in the entire transplant process as she personally performs:

– the design on which you are going to work.

– the extraction of follicular units.

– marking on the previous design where each of the grafts will go.

– the final placement of the same, with the help of its team of registered nurses.

2.FUE SR technique

There are patients who do not want or cannot shave their heads and change their physical appearance for a prolonged period of time. In these cases, Dr. Linzoain performs the FUE-SR procedure, without shaving, or partial shaving of the donor area. These small areas in the donor zone are camouflaged with the rest of the long hair while it recovers during the first month. The recipient area is not shaved, which can better conceal the immediate postoperative result and facilitate the patient’s social reintegration.

She performs this technique on both men and women, although it is the method of choice for women.

3.FUSS TECHNIQUE

This technique is the one that was commonly used before the FUE technique appeared.

It consists of obtaining follicular units from the donor area by excising a spindle of the scalp and then suturing the edges, leaving a linear scar in the donor area.

Currently, Dr. Linzoain uses this technique, after evaluation, only in patients operated on years ago in which an unsightly scar appears that bothers the patient.

4.BODY HAIR TRANSPLANT

– Beard: In patients with scarcity or complete lack of beard hair, with hair transplantation in this area we obtain highly natural and satisfactory results. A good diagnosis, design and approach to surgery is essential. The occipital part of the head is used as a donor area.

– Eyebrow hair transplant

– Pubic hair transplant

– Hair transplant to cover scars: unaesthetic scars found in the facial area of the beard, scalp or any area of the body with body hair

5.HAIR TRANSPLANTATION IN OTHER BODY AREAS

This technique describes how to obtain grafts from the donor area by obtaining a strip of scalp.
